What is Google My Business?

For starters, you want to know what Google My Business is before you decide to invest your time into trying it. As the name implies, Google My Business allows you to create a listing for your business on Google.

When a consumer researches your business on Google — or even searches for terms related to your business — you want to ensure they have all the information they need to visit, make a purchase, or contact your company.

Getting Started with Fixing Your Suspended Google My Business Account

To get started, you want to log into your Google My Business account. You can complete this using either the GMB phone application or directly on the desktop site. We recommend doing this on the desktop site for the easiest method.

Once signed in, see your list of locations and navigate to the specific location of yours that’s been suspended. You should see a suspension notice on the homepage. Click the learn more hyperlink at the bottom of the suspension notice to begin your reinstatement process. This process is what will allow you to submit a request to fix your suspended account.

When ready, request to reinstate your account. You can begin this process by clicking on one of two hyperlinks on the page that read, “appeal to have the profile reinstated,” or “request for their reinstatement.” Notice these hyperlinks located at the top and bottom of the article.

The following form will prompt you to fill out a series of questions asking you if you’ve already submitted a request, if you’re the official representative of the account, if your location is verified, and more.

Once you’ve answered each question, you will be given the option to start your request. Fill out your name, account email address, business name, your GMB page URL, phone number, any additional information that you want them to know, and any relevant physical proof that the location is real. This can be mail that has been sent to your location, the postcard that Google sent you to verify your account, or any other documentation that can prove the location is legitimate.

When completed, simply select the submit button. Google should soon reach out to you with the final result of your request. You can try contacting the Google help team or the help community for further support in the meantime to help with your Suspended Google My Business Account.
